Description: Rare original 1896-97 copy of, "A Treatise on Marks' Patent Artificial Limbs with Rubber Hands and Feet." It is softcover in its original wrappers. The book is overall in good condition with some signs of wear and age. The covers have some moderate wear. The binding is good and sound. There are some penciled initials to the backside of the frontispiece portrait. The interior is lightly toned from age. A few pages have some creases. There is about a 2 inch slit to the middle of page 67/68. One of the leaves has a tear a few inches in length which has been neatly repaired with archival tissue. A very few pages have a minor marginal chip or tear. Along with that there may be the occasional page with some kind of minor imperfection such as a light bit of foxing, soiling, grubbiness, minor stain or marking, etc. The book measures approximately 9 inches by 5 5/8 inches and is 544 pages long with several in text illustrations.
