Description: For your consideration is a rare estate find: an authentic burlesque headdress. It was purchased from a Chicago area estate sale over 20 years ago. I was informed at the time that it originated from a Ziegfeld follies performer. It is constructed from mixed materials, of faux gemstones, thin tin or pliable metal, wire and cloth. It is fragile; some of the gold flowers are loose. The flowers have 4 pieces of pliable metal that attach them to the frame. Please look carefully at all pictures to get a clearer look. This is a rare survivor of a bygone era of glitz and glamor. Please forward any questions. Payment is requested within 2 days of purchase. Please be aware that it is likely that some reshaping of the item may be required after shipping. I will do my best to pack it well. The item is in fair, intact condition, considering its age. I would recommend that it be displayed as part of a collection due to the fragile nature of the item. Thanks for viewing!
