I having this part of the shell missing absolutely doesn’t affect the function of the shell, like I said it only serves to glue the bottom of cosmetic foam covers. If you need to make an adjustment to the foot screws with a cosmetic foam cover you could detach the cap to get to the screws. This is the only purpose of the foot shell cap.
