Rare! 1955 Altec Lansing Western Electric 756B Full Range Speaker EX!

Description: Offered here is a working Altec Lansing model 756B full range speaker in very good condition. It was harvested from a Melodist enclosure (will be offered in a separate listing). The date code indicates it was manufactured in December of 1955. DCR is 5.6 ohms. A typical and normal DCR measurement for a vintage speaker designed to operate at 8 ohms impedance. The cone is in excellent condition with no holes, rips, or damage. The frame is also in excellent condition. Cosmetic condition is used. They show wear from use and age and do not look new. Please be sure to view all of the pictures. I will normally try to highlight any areas of significant damage. For safe shipping, I have mounted it on a piece of 1/4" plywood. In addition, it will be secured with appropriate packing materials and then double boxed.
